Production technologies for carbon-negative functional materials

CARBOSANDS is engaged in developing, protecting IP and commercialising sustainable technologies.  We develop carbon-neutral and carbon-negative functional materials to decarbonise the industry and the built environment. Our key product is CARBOSANDS Carbon Sand.

CARBON SANDS FOR CONCRETE

Our carbon-negative Carbon Sands are designed to replace sand in concrete production. This enables the cement industry to offer carbon-neutral concrete with its existing types of cement. Our Carbon Sands can even be produced from the captured CO2 of the cement production itself. In this way, the cement industry can avoid the expensive transportation and underground storage of CO2 and at the same time market a combined product of cement and sand for defined qualities of carbon-neutral concrete.

NATURAL GAS / RNG DECARBONISATION

The conversion of natural gas into hydrogen using methane pyrolysis is an advantageous decarbonization process, as solid carbon is produced as a by-product instead of CO2. CARBOSANDS produces valuable carbon building materials from solid carbon. If Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) is used instead of natural gas, carbon-negative building materials are created. In this way, CARBOSANDS intends to make a highly scalable contribution to Carbon Removal by storing CO2 in durable and infinitely recyclable building materials.

ULTRA-LOW-COST LITHIUM EXTRACTION

In addition, we are working on an ultra-low-cost distributed extraction technology for lithium from the brines of the geothermal and oil and gas industries.
