Our carbon-negative Carbon Sands are designed to replace sand in concrete. This enables the cement industry to offer carbon-neutral concrete with its existing cement products. Methane pyrolysis converts methane into hydrogen and solid carbon. Solid carbon is an important input material for CARBOSANDS building materials. We develop our CARBOSANDS building materials with organic or inorganic binders. Lignin binder is an example of an organic binder, while cement is an example of an inorganic binder. Carbosands has developed a very simple Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology for brines of geothermal energy and the oil and gas industry. The CARBOSANDS DLE concept: A granular sorbent is used for lithium adsorption. The desorption is simply done by using fresh water. The extraction units require very little infrastructure at the well.
